Day 3 has been very, very  windy and a few heavy showers passed our way this morning. The day has been very enjoyable but everyone is feeling  windswept and in fact many of us have very rosy faces this evening. We have challenged ourselves today with all groups experiencing a high ropes activity. These included Leap of Faith, Jacob's Ladder and Indoor Climbing. We have set ourselves goals for the activities and most of us achieved these . Other activities included problem solving ( which we learnt that to be successful we neededs to talk and explain our ideas to each other),  an Obstacle course, an Orienteering activity and many more. We have continued to eat very well and today we had a  cooked breakfast,  chicken nuggets and chips for lunch and a roast beef dinner this evening. Other options were available but most of us went for these. We slept well again last night and the teachers had to wake many of us - they said they hoped this will continue for the next two mornings.  We also went to the site shop after lunch and have now spent the money that was burning a hole in our pockets.

We are all looking forward to our last full day tomorrow and can't believe the week has gone so fast.

Day 2

Most of us were awaken by staff this morning after a good night sleep. We had a cooked breakfast and lots of cereal, yoghurt and toast. Then we were ready for our days' activities. We all had a go on the zip - wire including the adults - we don't know who screamed the loudest. We also went on nightline which is great fun. other activities included indoor climbing, team tech, bottle rockets and volleyball. We had sand everywhere. Now we are taking part in Mini Olympics. The food has been great and the most popular choice at lunch was sausage roll and chips and we did enjoy the doughnuts for pudding this evening.

One of us is celebrating our tenth birthday today. She had cards and presents and we sang happy birthday to her. She having lots of fun today but a different birthday which she won't forget.

The staff are hoping we sleep as well tonight!

Hello Owls

Only three days before we go on the Y5/6 residential to Kingswood on the Isle of Wight. Please look carefully at your kit list and remember it is useful to have your kit in a suitcase/bag with wheels as it is quite a long walk to our dormitory from the coach drop off point. In addition, you will need a small snack for mid - morning, your lunch (in a disposable bag) and your water bottle, any medication, and pocket money.

We are looking forward to taking you.

Have  a lovely weekend.

The staff

Day 1

We arrived safely this afternoon after a lovely journey - ferry was smooth and sun had come out before we crossed the solent. We found our rooms and have unpacked and made our beds!! All have enjoyed the first activities- some of us made bottle rockets, some went abseiling and others had to be very brave as they had to experience the 3G swing. All have eaten well and we are now off to bed.

We will  keep in touch.
